Mimi Wu

Mimi Wu is a registered dietitian at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In her role as a Public Health Nutritionist for the Eat Well Play Hard in Child Care Settings nutrition program, she educates and excites children, parents and staff members in child care centers on healthy eating and increasing physical activity. Mimi enjoys her job because it allows her to pursue a combination of her passions and interests, notably food, cooking, nutrition and public health. Mimi holds an MS in Nutrition and Public Health from Teachers College, Columbia University, as well as a B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University. During graduate school, she was heavily involved with the NYC Nutrition Education Network (NYCNEN) as its Administrative Coordinator and held various positions in community nutrition, including United Way's Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program, Healthy Schools Healthy Families, New York Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia and Cornell Universities and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
